Marcus Walker describes his sound as being like “some garlic bread with a dollop of sassafras & a healthy shot o’ luv”. His voice and music are certainly both full of warmth, so I can support the comparison :) There is also a Dave Matthews quality to his music which is apparant in songs like “Who’s to Say?” and “They Don’t Know”.
Though Marcus has performed solo on each of his webcast appearances, he typically plays with a group of musicians, calling themselves The Marcus Walker Quartet for live shows. If you have a chance to check it out, I recommend it. It’s a jazzy folk-in’ time!
